Dont claim to understand the technical stuff but the trick that worked for me was....
use Microsoft photo editor then right click......edit pictures.....then choose compress pictures....then chose web page

The French Field Gun was simply resaved for the web and reduced to be within the 200kb size and then simply attached using the File Attachments on this page and browsing for the saved web image. A doddle.
