It is rather official now, the Canada café on the road towards Hooge, where there's every third Sunday of the month a militaria fair, will open later this year a small WW I museum/exhibit.

The owner confirmed the news earlier this year on our Dutch/Flemish forum.

Went to the last militaria fair in July and was surprised that itclosed at 12noon.
When I got there at 11am about 3 quarters of the traders had packed up and left.
Those that were still there had many items of doubtful authenticity and at high prices. Did manage to find an authentic Brit trench knife made from a ground down bayonnette and scabard in a box with a mix of other things. Otherwise not a good visit.

'The Canada' is one of those mysterious Belgian bars that never seems to be open when I go past!

I haven't been in the 'Canada' for many years.

Did this new museum ever open?
