In Napier on the east coast of the North Island are 3 memorials. 1 remembering the Boar and other wars, a memorial hall which includes WW1 since its rebuilding as well as a cenotaph. The town itself was badly damaged in an earthquake and was subsequently rebuilt in art deco/spanish style.

The first picture shows the inside of the Memorial Hall

Speeking to a freind in Cambridge on the North Island, he advised that on Remembrance Sunday the ceremony was a 6.00 am but was nethertheless very well attended. The town held an event all day within the local parkto mark remembrance which was sponsored by local businesses and advertised on posters and by banners.
